It worries me sometimes that in our desperation to save the planet many greens and environmentalist allow themselves to overlook the ideological questions which underpin much of the "green economy" and (god forbid) "Green Capitalism".<br /><br />REDD schemes and carbon offsetting often lead to great injustice towards indigenous defenders of the earth, pushed from their lands and forests.<br /><br />We need people willing to confront the (understandable) urge to embrace anything that 'sounds' like it will ameliorate the crisis we face, without full investigation of its social affects.<br /><br />We especially need people like this as MPs and MEPs - any ideas?<br /><br />hehe..being mischievous.. good luck with SWGP list selection.
