I've cut out most dairy, except a bit of milk on my shredded wheat in the morning, and stopped eating meat on green rather than "ethical" grounds. Unfortunately this has ramped up my cravings for flapjacks. Anyone recommend me some treatment? ;)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5889026769761133073.post-84305706775026688862008-02-12T08:39:00.000+00:002008-02-12T08:39:00.000+00:00And watch out for irradiated food - that really is...And watch out for irradiated food - that really is dead.
About ten years ago I ditched all refined sugars, lost all my puppy fat and felt a lot better after the initial cold-turkey phase.
Over the years I've cut out loads of questionable foods. I still eat a bit of diary, but I do get more stuffy in the ears, nose and throat when I do eat it so should really cut it out completely. I'd love to ditch coffee but I can't do it without severe headaches hitting me but I've cut down.
Ultimately, when you think about it, humans eat a bizarre diet. Chimps share most of our DNA and eat mainly green leaves, some fruit and the odd bit of monkey brains. Gorillas eat mostly green stuff and are built like strong-men.
For a while, I've been eating a 60-70% raw diet. I have to say I feel really good on it and my guts are seldom crampy or gurgly or achy and I don't feeling trembling-hungry so much. I could easily go 100% raw if I was organised enough to make the more gourmet raw recipes that involve lots of pre-soaking, drying and sprouting.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
